Akila Gibson

Akilah Gibson is from Nassau, Bahamas, where she graduated from high school in 1998. She obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Emory University in 2002, and a Master’s Degree in African-American Studies from Columbia University in 2003. After teaching in Hampton, Virginia’s public school system, she briefly lectured at Hampton University before joining the Howard family. In her final year, Ms. Gibson looks forward to using her interdisciplinary background and experiences to provide quality direct legal services.
